Tiger Woods has revealed plans to return to action next week at the Bridgestone Invitational in Ohio.
The 35-year-old former world number one has not struck a ball in anger since pulling out of the Players Championship in May due to Achilles and knee injuries.
But golf fans will be able to watch the former master in action in his traditional red Nike golf shirt in Ohio next week, and his return is sure to attract the attention of the golf world.
"I'm excited to get back out there," Woods said on his website.
He will also be hoping to improve his world ranking as his period of inactivity and poor form have left him languishing in 21st place in the current rankings.
Woods recently announced that his partnership with his caddie Steve Williams, which saw the 35-year-old pick up 13 major wins, has come to an end after 12 years.
