Hunter Mahan is leading the way at the storm-hit WGC-Cadillac Championship.
The American made light work of the first 11 holes to reach seven-under before the weather brought a halt to proceedings.
Doral's Blue Monster course was buffeted by 50 mph gusts of wind which toppled two TV towers, uprooted trees and felled the scoreboard at the 18th hole.
Charley Hoffman managed to finish his round and is two shots behind Mahan, who had a few choice words for the course.
"I guess with that storm, it brought some tranquillity to the golf course," said Mahan. "Because there was just no wind (after the storm had passed), there was nothing out there."
However, some of the biggest names in the game still struggled to make an impact, with Tiger Woods only one-under par through 15 holes.
World number one Martin Kaymer got through ten holes and left the course at five-under.
