Top golf pros head to Castle Stuart

A number of the world's leading golfers will be packing their golf shoes for the Scottish Open, just a week ahead of the Open Championship.

Retief Goosen and Angel Cabrera, who have both claimed majors in the past, are the latest top players to be added to the field for the event at Castle Stuart.

A prize pot of £3 million has also attracted the world numbers one and two, Luke Donald and Lee Westwood.

Graeme McDowell, the world number eight, will also be donning his golf shoes in Scotland, alongside world numbers six and seven Phil Mickelson and Matt Kuchar.

Ryder Cup captains past and present will be in the field, with Colin Montgomerie looking for his second Scottish Open win, and Jose Maria Olazabal, Europe's captain in 2012 looking for his first tour victory since 2005.

Golf fans will be hoping to see yet another battle for world number one as Lee Westwood can reclaim the top spot if results go his way.
