Tiger Woods looked in ominous form in the second round of the Dubai Desert Classic today (Friday February 11th).
The American shot an excellent six-under-par 66 to move to within three shots of clubhouse leader Thomas Aiken, with the South African on ten under.
Woods managed a bogey-free round in his golf clothing as he built on the stunning eagle he holed at the 18th in round one.
World number one Lee Westwood carded a more modest 70 but remains in contentions following a 69 in the opening round.
And the in-form German Martin Kaymer, who admitted to being nervous playing alongside Woods in the opening round, is on four under after a second round score of 71.
"I played myself right back into the tournament. I felt I hit the ball a lot better and the greens were absolutely perfect," said Woods.
"It was steady. I didn't make as many mistakes as yesterday and I felt it was important to post a number."
