Tiger Woods hoping to beat Jack Nicklaus's Majors record

Tiger Woods is still hopeful of breaking Jack Nicklaus's record of winning 18 Major golf championships.

In an interview with CNBC, the former world number one, who has won 14 Majors so far in his career said: "I know I can do it, I just need to put all the pieces together and get it done."

However, Woods may have to don his lucky golf clothing if he wants to prove victorious at the next Majors as he has not won an event in 16 months.

"I get in these streaks during a round where I just hit it like the way I know I can, but then I lose it, then I get it back," he said.

"I have to be able to play at a consistent level for all four rounds."

Earlier this week, Tiger said he was ready for the Masters after putting in a good performance at the WGC Cadillac Championship in Miami last week.
