The former caddie of Tiger Woods, Steve Williams, helped Adam Scott to a win at the WGC in Akron, Ohio, at the weekend.
Despite winning 13 major titles with Woods during their 12-year partnership, Williams said the event was the greatest week of his life caddying.
Scott finished four shots ahead of Luke Donald and Rickie Fowler in Ohio, just a week before the USPGA kicks off in Atlanta.
The Australian finished 18 shots clear of Woods, who struggled for consistency.
New Zealander Williams, who always refused to give interviews while he worked for Woods, took the opportunity to talk about his split with the former world number one.
"I was absolutely shocked that I got the boot to be honest with you. I've caddied for the guy for 12 years, I've been incredibly loyal to the guy and I got short-shrifted," he explained.
The race is now on among the best tour caddies to secure a spot on the former world number one's bag.
