Steve Stricker has developed a new appreciation for his globetrotting fellow professionals.
The American made his first appearance in his golf clothing at the Qatar Masters but ended up in 45th place.
Having crossed several time zones to take part, the 43-year-old revealed his great admiration for the players who manage to shake off the jetlag to regularly participate in far-flung events.
"I don't know how they do it - I got there a few days early and never really got caught up on my sleep, felt like I was never rested. I take my hat off to these guys who do it on a regular basis, he said.
The world number nine admitted that he felt like a kid on his first day at school when he arrived at the Doha Golf Club.
"That was probably the hardest part, just getting adjusted, you're in a foreign land. I didn't know where to go, didn't know where to register, where anything was," he added.
