Rory McIlroy has once again suffered final-round heartache as he was pipped to the post by Italian teenager Matteo Manassero in Kuala Lumpur.
The Northern Irishman led by three shots during the rain-affected third round but ended up shooting a 72 to start the final round a shot behind the 17-year-old Italian.
In the final round Manassero turned on the style, holing his approach shot on ten for an eagle and following it up with two birdies on eleven and twelve.
McIlroy was still in contention but his putting let him down once again as he bogeyed the 12th following a three putt.
However, he made a further three birdies and was still in the hunt on the final hole but a bogey saw him drop to two shots behind Manassero.
McIlroy said: "I'm proud of myself at how I picked myself up from last week and the way I came back on the back nine."
Simon Dyson and Masters champion Charl Schwartzel, both wearing Nike golf clothing, failed to make an impact on the final day, finishing six and nine shots off the lead respectively.
