Poulter is one of the most active members of the Twitter community and his most recent escapades have seen him try and draw Tiger out of his cage.
Woods is still a relative novice on the microblogging site and he has thus far decided not to respond to numerous tweets from Poulter, which include the @TigerWoods tag in them.
"@TigerWoods why don't you follow the Lads @WestwoodLee etc & join the banter. We could have a good laugh & let people join in our fun," Poulter tweeted.
But the former world number one did not seem keen to humour the 35-year-old Brit.
Undeterred, Poulter later wrote: "Tiger give us a smile, Tiger, Tiger give us a smile. Come on @TigerWoods shall we sing a song for you?"
Poulter recently caused a stir when he scoffed at darts player Phil Taylor's achievement at coming second in the BBC Sports Personality of the Year with numerous derogatory tweets.
