Paul Casey has stepped out on the first day of the Open Championship in a pair of limited edition Nike golf shoes.
The new version of the popular Lunar Control golf shoes have been specially created for this year's Open tournament and will be worn by a host of other Nike-sponsored players this week.
Casey has been involved in the development of the new Nike footwear and will wear them in competitive action for the first time at Royal St George's today.
According to Nike, the Lunar Control "takes its cue from classic British dress shoes and briefcases" as it features tumbled leather with a patent-leather swoosh and lace accents.
Herringbone tweed has been added to the collar to reflect a tailored suit material and the linings are inspired by polka-dot handkerchiefs.
Both Adidas and Puma have recently launched new golf shoes into the market, with pros and amateurs alike scrambling to pick up the new ranges.
