From established stars like Rory McIlroy, Paul Casey and Charl Schwartzel to up and coming European players like Tommy Fleetwood, Nike golf shoes are constantly being chosen by the sport’s leading names.
That’s not simply because of their looks. Having the right golf shoes is vital to feeling comfortable on the golf course and maintaining stability and flexibility of the lower body through the swing. With well designed studs or spikes, good shoes help to promote balance. Golf rounds can also be an endurance test at times, so having the right shoes is essential to prevent blisters.
Nike are constantly introducing new models of golf shoes to enhance the performance of their sponsored players and customers around the world. The latest creation from the Nike golf shoes design team is the Limited Edition Lunar Control 3, while it has recently been revealed that Lunar Control 4 is right around the corner as well.
Nike golf shoes delivered straight from the fairways of TPC Boston to your golf bag
The first time we saw the Limited Edition Lunar Control 3 was at the recent Deutsche Bank Open in Boston, where Rory McIlroy laced up a pair and put them through their paces.
It was immediately obvious that Nike were onto another winner. Possessing the trademark style that Nike golf shoes are known for, the Lunar Control 3 shoes are lightweight, with soft cushioning to protect the base of the foot and provide excellent structure and support through impact.
The limited edition design also features a dynamic Nike Swoosh on the toe of the shoe to suit the modern golfer. They will look just as good if you can crush the ball 350 yards as they do when you nudge it 200.
Shoes really are crucial to a good game of golf, which is why Nike invest so many resources into perfecting the technology that goes into their footwear. The next model out of their labs will be the Lunar Control 4, scheduled for release in early 2016.
The Lunar Control 4 will carry the same Swoosh toe design as the Ltd. Edition Lunar Control 3, but add some impressive elements. For example, the uppers will be made from an advanced lightweight premium microfiber and guaranteed as waterproof for two years. The midsole will incorporate Lunarlon cushioning for comfort, and the outsole will include carbon fiber materials to reduce weight and add strength to the shoe.
You can bet that the new Lunar Control 4 design will perform well. Nike golf shoes have enlisted the active participation of McIlroy in testing the new model, so that it delivers exactly what elite tour players need.
Everyday golfers will be able to order the Lunar Control 4 at Function 18 as soon as it is announced, while the Lunar Control 3 range of Nike golf shoes is available here. Choose the ideal colour scheme for you, and enjoy the performance and style that tour players demand, wherever you play your golf.
