As the richest event in golf, the Sawgrass Players Championship is an opportunity for players to show off their fanciest golf clothing.
However, Lee Westwood will be not have to worry about dressing for the occasion as he has said he will not be playing at the event.
The world number one insisted he would not be heading to Sawgrass, despite coming fourth last year, due to PGA Tour regulations.
As he is not part of the US circuit, he can only play in three regular tournaments outside the majors and world golf championships and has opted to miss out on the Players event.
"There is a five-week gap between The Masters and the Match Play in Spain (on May 19-22, one week after the Players) and I want to play a couple of events in there," said Westwood.
"I've said I will support the European Tour, so I am going to Asia."
