Lee Westwood insists he is not concerned by the slow start he has had to the season in his golf clothing.
The Englishman lost his grip on the world number one spot recently, with Martin Kaymer taking his place.
But the 37-year-old is confident that it won't be long before he returns to top form, despite not finishing in the top ten in any tournament this year.
"I'm hitting the ball as good as I've hit it for a long time," he said.
"I'm not too worried about the number one spot - I'm never too fast out of the blocks at the beginning of the year. It's one of those things. That's how I am."
Westwood, who is yet to win a Major, will play in the Honda Classic in Florida this week knowing that a top-three finish will send him back to the summit as Kaymer is not taking part.
