Justin Rose ready for Wentworth challenge

Justin Rose has claimed he is ready for the challenge this week in the BMW Championship at Wentworth, a course he says he feels at home playing.

The world number 29 finished tenth in last year's event, and he feels he is ready to pose a challenge for the title this week.

He told BBC Surrey: "Coming back to Wentworth is always special for me, it's my old stomping ground.

"I grew up in the area and came to watch the PGA from about the age of eight."

Golf fans will be able to see Rose, clad in his traditional Adidas golf clothing, in a 3-ball with former world number one Martin Kaymer and current Masters champion Charl Schwartzel.

The 30-year-old has been spending a lot of time at Wentworth recently as he has been using the new TaylorMade Performance Lab to work on his swing.

He described the facility, which was opened in October 2010, as "truly incredible".
