Jack Nicklaus has warned against over-hyping the latest golf star to hit the headlines, Rory McIlroy.
The Golden Bear, who claimed 15 major titles during his career, said the 22-year-old will win a number of majors in his career.
However, he feels it is too early to hail the youngster as "the crown prince" of golf.
Nicklaus told BBC Radio Five Live's Sportsweek show: "Rory is a very talented young man who's been a factor in every one of the majors over the last year.
"He could have won the Masters and the US Open. He could have won the British Open last year. He's a talented young man we're going to see on the scene for a long time."
McIlroy has been on a break from the game since his US Open triumph but he is set to pull on his golf shoes once again when the Open starts at Royal St George's on Thursday.
