Masters champion Charl Schwartzel has been named the 2011 Race to Dubai European Tour Golfer of the Month.
The South African's triumph at Augusta now means all four major titles in golf are held by player from the European Tour.
Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell holds the US Open, former world number one Martin Kaymer holds the US PGA championship and Louis Oosthuizen is the reigning Open champion.
The judging panel, which comprised members of the Association of Golf Writers as well as commentators from radio and television, acknowledged Schwartzel's astonishing four-birdie finish for a 66 and a winning 14-under par total of 274 at Augusta.
Wearing a grey striped Nike golf shirt Schwartzel was able to hold off the challenge of Australia's Jason Day on the final holes of the first major of the season.
Schwartzel is the fourth monthly winner of 2011, joining Martin Kaymer (January), Luke Donald (February) and Scotland's Paul Lawrie (March).
