Major champions Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen have announced they will be playing the Scottish Open at Castle Stuart this year.
The South African duo will use the tournament as preparation for the Open Championship which Oosthuizen is looking to defend after he claimed the title in 2010.
Schwartzel will also be a big draw for the crowds following his recent Masters triumph which saw him claim the most prestigious item of golf clothing in the sport – the famous Green Jacket.
Graeme McDowell, Padraig Harrington and defending Scottish Open champion Edoardo Molinari have all announced their decision to play in the event and more top players are expected to join the field in the coming weeks.
Schwartzel told the European Tour official website: "It will be a real honour to be introduced onto the first tee at the Barclays Scottish Open as the Masters champion and I hope I can perform at my best and try to contend for the title."
The event will take place between July 7th and 10th.
