NBA star Stephen Curry's love for the game of golf is no secret - You may have caught social media posts of the Golden State Warriors player chipping balls in his backyard over the past few weeks, or taken note when he partnered with Howard University to launch their first Division I Golf program. He has now has partnered with Under Armour Golf to release the 2020 UA Range Unlimited Collection, their 2nd golf clothing collaboration.
Steph, who clearly looks sharp in the collection photoshoot, is always vocal about the sport and opening it up to a wider demographic.
“Golf has brought me so much joy and taught me a lot along the way, and I hope to pass that along to people. I aim to do everything I can to make sure more youth, including those from underserved communities where the barrier to entry is even higher, have the access and opportunity to play golf.”
“Golf obviously isn’t my day job, but it's definitely one of my passions. I can be competitive, obsessing over my swing or my short game, but have a lot of fun at the same time. I really enjoy bringing the same focus I dedicate on the basketball court over to the golf course.”
The UA Monarch Polo features a California poppy flower design, a call out to the Golden State where Steph calls home.
The Curry 6 SL is a stylish looking shoe that uses Rotational Resistance Traction technology, in both vertical and horizontal directions - to help keep the feet planted throughout the swing.
Building off the first UA Range Unlimited Collection, these new styles are manufactured using UA Golf’s leading material technologies. Each of the polos and the 5-pocket Chino pants are made with UA Vanish materials which are stretchy and quick drying. While the Apollo Bomber jacket protects from the elements with water-repellent UA Storm. The Curry 6 spikeless golf shoes use a UA Golf Rotational Resistance TPU outsole, which helps the wearer leverage the ground to power through their swing, whilst preventing slippage for control and stability.
The collection will be released in August 2020, right here at Function18.com
