Galvin Green's premium wind protection outerwear and mid-layers are now lighter and more breathable, perfect for golf in warmer conditions. Here are 3 new product styles that leading the way this Summer.
Brand new for 2017, the Bow pullover which is manufactured with Gore's Windstopper Active® membrane, is an ultra thin, totally windproof protective layer, perfect for Summer golf. The Windstopper Active membrane is made of the versatile polymer PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) which is expanded to create a microporous structure. These micropores are 900 times larger than water vapour molecules, allowing for excellent breathability as perspiration can pass through unhindered. The Bow pullover weighs in at just over 100 grams and is the most packable outerwear garment that Galvin Green have produced. The fabric is also highly water resistant, but not guaranteed as waterproof because it isn't seam sealed.
There are 2 new Insula Lite styles in the SS2017 collection, Dean & Derry. The Dean is a 1/4 zip, long sleeve mid-layer and the Derry is a full zip gilet. Both have a subtle and understated look, but are both suited to on and off-course action. The new Insula Lite garments are soft with a light, airy material structure. The fabric has built-in air chambers which are warmed by the body heat and provide extremely effective and long-lasting thermal insulation. The new Insula Lite fabric weighs around 15% less than regular Insula, but still offers the same thermal protection, with increased breathability. Insula Lite garments are the perfect intermediate layers to be worn under Gore-Tex or Gore Windstopper outer layers.
